Hi Everyone,

Thanks for visiting SanDiegoDesi.com. We thank all our new AND repeat visitors for keeping this site alive and running - we are logging more than 500 unique visitors every week.

However, we still feel that many are being left out - and we request you to get the word out to everyone about this site.

That said - we also need your input on how to improve our services - and we decided to listen to your needs first and then develop services accordingly .

From now onwards, every last week of the month - we will open a new topic - where we will listen to your ideas and develop the site accordingly.

So let's start today:

Please tell us for the following:

1. How did you find SanDiegoDesi.com?
2. Did any of look at the posters/pamphlets in & around the Indian stores in San Diego? - if so! which one?!
3. What do you think will attract & sustain more Indians living in this neighbourhood to this website?

Your feedback will be much appreciated and we will give away dinner for two at a local indian restaurant for the best opinion.

Results will be announced on July 28th on this forum.

We are waiting...

Google search

Yes but not many events happening in the community

3. What do you think will attract & sustain more Indians living in this neighbourhood to this website?

(a) Publicize the website iteself at all Indian events, perhaps give a small prize from the cards collected at the door.
(b) Encourage people to use classified so that people stop using Sulekha etc which does not cater to San Diego and people end up posting in L.A.
(c) Proactively email the community, offer weekly newsletters etc on what's happening in the community.
(d) List current events yourself rather than those associations submitting a post. e.g. SD Maharasthra Mandal had their annual event last week which wasn't listed in ANY community websites. I just happened to google their web and was able to attend the event.
